AI automation for small and growing businesses · North East

We take the repetitivework off your team's plate.

Code Garden builds practical AI and automation for small and growing businesses. We connect the tools you already use, take on the work that eats your week, start with a small pilot, and only scale what works.

01

What we automate.

We focus on the work that keeps coming back every week — across operations, customer contact, documents and the systems your team already relies on. The examples below are starting points, not a closed list. Bring the bottleneck; we will tell you if automation is the right fix.

01

Customer conversations

Enquiries, support replies, follow-ups and FAQs handled by AI over email, WhatsApp, phone or chat — with a clear path to a person when needed.

02

Operations and scheduling

Rotas, job assignment, status updates and handoffs that currently live in spreadsheets, group chats or someone's head.

03

Documents and data

Forms, invoices, contracts and records moved between systems without retyping. Extraction, filing and reminders built around how you already work.

04

Internal tools and reporting

Dashboards, weekly packs, alerts and small internal apps that give your team the information they need without building another spreadsheet.

05

Custom builds

If your process does not fit a neat category, we still take it on. Describe the bottleneck and we will design a pilot around it — integrations, AI, or a small product built for how you work.

02

AI training and implementation.

Service

Make AI useful for the people who do the work.

Buying a licence is the easy part. Most teams stall when nobody knows which tools to use, how to prompt well, or how to bring AI into the jobs that already fill the week.

We train your people, set up the tools around your processes, and stay close until the new habits stick. Workshops, playbooks and hands-on implementation — so you get adoption, not another unused subscription.

What you get

Training that ends in real use.

Practical sessions for founders and teams, tool selection and setup, and light implementation so the first wins land inside your business. Pair it with an automation pilot when you want both capability and delivery.

04

Fractional CTO, when a build is not enough.

Service

Senior technology leadership on a retainer.

Some companies need more than one automation project. They need someone who can set technical direction, help hire, keep delivery steady, and decide where AI belongs without turning the stack into a liability.

Our fractional CTO service is typically two to four days a month on a fixed fee. It works with your existing team. We do not replace your engineers, and we do not sell open-ended staffing.

Best suited to

Growing teams that need a senior lead.

Founders before a full-time CTO hire, and businesses whose software has outgrown the first version. Engagements start with a conversation about the decisions you need help with, then a clear monthly retainer.

05

Custom software, when a workflow is not enough.

Service

Products and platforms built around your process.

Some problems need more than connecting tools or training a team. You need software that fits how the business actually runs — an internal system, a customer product, or the layer that ties several systems together.

We design and build that software as engineers, with clear scope, fixed-price stages where we can, and delivery you can own. The same standards we use on automation and leadership work apply here.

Best suited to

When off-the-shelf will not stretch far enough.

Teams that have outgrown spreadsheets and bolted-together tools, or founders who need a first product version that is secure and maintainable. We start with the outcome you need, then agree what to build first.

09

Common questions.

What kinds of work do you automate?

Repeatable work with a clear path: customer messages, scheduling, document handling, moving data between systems, internal tools and reporting. If someone on your team does the same task every day, that is usually a good place to start. We are not limited to one industry or one process.

How long does a pilot take?

About two weeks. We agree one problem and one measure of success before we begin. If the pilot works, we quote a fixed price to roll it out.

What does AI training and implementation cover?

We help your team choose the right tools, set them up for real work, and learn how to use them day to day. That can mean workshops, playbooks, and hands-on implementation so AI sticks beyond a one-off demo.

What is included in fractional CTO?

A senior technology lead for a few days a month: architecture, hiring, delivery standards, and decisions on tools and AI. Your team still builds day to day. The engagement is a fixed monthly retainer.

Do you build custom software as well?

Yes. When automation or off-the-shelf tools are not enough, we design and build software around your process — internal tools, customer-facing products, and the integrations that hold them together. We still start with a clear scope and a fixed-price path where we can.
